Start at the prison escape
This route starts when the prison escape is underway in the red storm and the objective asks you to reach the landing docks and get airborne. It ends at the Wasp cockpit. If you are already exploring Mawknest or looking for a Welder at PACE docks, this is an earlier objective.
Open Z1 Gaming’s Demo playthrough at 7:33. The checkpoints below follow the route shown there. Use the video to compare your position between checkpoints; these are visual landmarks rather than compass directions or a shortest-path claim.
Five landmarks to follow
- Stairs out of the work area — 7:33. A broad stairway rises ahead of the player. Go up toward the exterior route.
- Exterior scaffold and metal panels — 7:46. The player is on a narrow scaffold beside the cliff, then moves onto large metal panels along the rock. Compare this section before leaving the built walkway.
- Platforms and rock ridge — 8:10. Look for the separate metal platforms below and ahead. The video continues around the rock to a narrow ridge with metal barriers, visible at 8:23. This is the section to replay if the route seems to disappear against the cliff.
- Ramp toward the landing pad — 8:39. A sloped metal walkway leads toward the pad ahead. The Wasp and its illuminated pad outline are your destination landmarks.
- Wasp cockpit — 8:51. The player is now seated in the Wasp, with flight instruments visible and blue-white lines around the pad. This confirms the dock has been reached. Follow your own on-screen prompts for piloting and starting the engine.
If you lose the route
Pause at the last matching landmark and replay that section before moving on. The red lighting can obscure the edges of panels and rocks. Do not infer a safe jump from a still image; compare the movement in the video. These are editorial navigation tips.
The later PACE docks segment at 19:56 concerns exploration and the Welder search. It is not the escape route above.
