EA 1.0-6: NVIDIA frame generation
Checked 2026-11-01, the official EA 1.0-6 notes list VENU-14539, NVIDIA frame generation. This later, specific fix is separate from EA 1.0-4 temporarily disabling DLAA; it does not prove all low-FPS, DLSS, FSR or loading problems are resolved. No benchmark, FPS guarantee or tested graphics preset is supplied. Record GPU, settings and exact build if the symptom persists. EA 1.0-6 performance filter.
First check your installed version
ATMOSFAR is available in Early Access. Before changing settings, record the version shown by your game and read the official Steam update notes. Finish any Steam update before comparing the issue with an older report. This page separates the EA 1.0-6 frame-generation fix checked 2026-11-01 from EA 1.0-5, checked October 31, and EA 1.0-4, checked October 30. See also the EA 1.0-7 symptom summary.
EA 1.0-5: controls, resource use and connection feedback
Checked October 31, 2026: the official EA 1.0-5 announcement, published October 30, lists these changes. Compare your installed version before applying an older diagnosis.
| Symptom or change | What EA 1.0-5 says | Limit of that claim |
|---|---|---|
| Wasp fuel or stunner battery runs out quickly | Wasp fuel consumption and stunner power use were reduced; PACE drones remain stunned longer | No numerical rate or guaranteed expedition range was supplied |
| Mouse roll feels too fast | Mouse roll rate was lowered | This does not establish a fix for every binding or controller issue |
| Movement/collision while seated | Specific seated movement and collision problems appear in the fix list | It does not confirm every movement block is resolved |
| Co-op connection fails | A connection-failure error message was added | A clearer error is not a promise that all connection failures are fixed |
| Reactor core or camp storage disappears | Specific loss/despawn cases are listed as fixed | See opening-problem distinctions; already missing items are not promised back |
EA 1.0-5 is not described as a universal low-FPS cure. That historical announcement also planned a larger update or experimental build. Later EA 1.0-6 and EA 1.0-7 notes now list specific released changes; neither is a universal low-FPS cure.
The DLAA, bug-report panel, tutorial respawn and research-drive notes below are earlier EA 1.0-4 changes, originally checked October 30. They are retained with their original scope rather than relabeled as new EA 1.0-5 fixes.
Low FPS or missing DLAA option
Apog Labs lists VENU-14395 as a temporary disabling of the DLAA setting because of its inefficient effect on rendering. If the option is unavailable in this build, it is not necessarily an installation fault. This change does not establish that DLSS, FSR or frame generation is broken, or that every performance problem is fixed.
For a useful comparison, note your current resolution, graphics preset, individual settings and upscaling selection before changing one setting at a time. Compare the same scene and record what changes. This is a diagnostic routine, not a tested “best settings” preset. There is no verified FPS target or Steam Deck result in this guide.
Check the published PC requirements as a starting point. Meeting them does not guarantee a particular frame rate.
Loading indefinitely, or cannot reach the game?
We have not verified a game-specific fix for every loading hang. Record whether it happens before the menu, while loading a save or when joining another player. Include the installed version, solo/co-op mode, elapsed time and any visible error.
As a general Steam installation check, open Library → ATMOSFAR → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. Steam documents this process; it checks installed files and is not a confirmed cure for ATMOSFAR loading hangs.
If you cannot enter the game, use the Steam discussion board to describe the block. If you can enter it, use the in-game bug reporter. Do not delete your save, paste unrelated launch flags or treat a workaround for a different game as a confirmed ATMOSFAR fix.
What to send with a performance report
The developer asks for hardware specifications and graphics settings, including the average settings level and any upscaling in use. Include:
- CPU, GPU, RAM and operating system.
- Game version, resolution, graphics settings and upscaling selection.
- The scene or action where it happens, and whether solo or co-op is affected.
- A repeatable sequence and screenshots or a short recording when possible.
Use the in-game bug reporting tool when accessible; Apog Labs identifies it as the channel that guarantees the report reaches the developers. General feedback can also go to Steam or the official Discord linked by the game. This site does not submit reports for you.
The same hotfix lists VENU-14392, a bug-report panel that can rarely take up to 30 seconds to close. That note is about the panel, not a universal loading-screen timeout.
Should I switch to the experimental branch?
The developer makes an experimental branch available for earlier changes but warns that it may be unstable. It is not a required first step or a confirmed cure for low FPS. Follow the current branch notes before choosing a different build.
For tutorial respawn and research-drive issues, see opening problems and camp power. For fuel or a camp machine that has stopped, use the fuel and power guide.
