The opening chapter of ATMOSFAR deposits your survivor onto a crumbling floating plateau amidst the stormy skies of Tycos. This walkthrough guides you through every critical objective from awakening inside your smoldering escape pod to successfully launching the Cloud Cruiser carrier.

Phase 1: Escape Pod Evacuation & Oxygen Check

Disembark the Pod: Kick open the damaged hatch using E. Immediately check your HUD at the top-left: your personal oxygen reserve starts at 65%.
Loot the Supply Crate: Right next to the landing skid, open the green survival container to obtain:
- 1x Pneumatic Grapple Gun
- 2x Emergency Oxygen Syringes
- 1x Personal Aerofoil Glider (Damaged)
Equip Handheld Scanner: Tap C to reveal a pathway leading east across a narrow rock bridge.

Phase 2: Repairing the Personal Glider

The rock bridge collapses as you step onto it.

Fire the Grapple: Tap F to latch onto the opposing cliff face before falling into the lower storm layer.
Collect 4x Aerograde Scrap: Look for the smoking engine cowl wedged in the boulder ahead. Interact to harvest scrap metal.
Patch the Glider Fabric: Open your inventory (Tab), select the damaged glider, and craft the patch kit. You can now double-tap Space to glide short distances.

Phase 3: The Wasp Scout Hangar

Glide across the gorge toward the abandoned colonial research outpost.

Restore Outpost Power: Locate the solar breaker box on the exterior wall. Flip the circuit lever to unlock the hangar blast doors.
Inspect the Wasp Scout: The twin-rotor vessel inside has an empty fuel cell.
Refuel the Core: Harvest 2x Chemical Fuel Pellets from the backup generator in the rear office, then load them into the Wasp’s starboard intake port.
Take to the Skies: Board the cockpit (E). Hold Shift + W to lift off vertically.

Phase 4: Recovering the Cloud Cruiser

Your HUD will calibrate an emergency homing beacon approximately 1.5 km northeast:

Follow the cyan waypoint while maintaining an altitude of 1,800 meters.
Approach the drifting Cloud Cruiser from the rear lower quadrant.
Touch down on the carrier’s primary flight deck and engage landing gear (G).
Enter the command bridge to stabilize reactor power and establish your permanent aerial base of operations!
