ATMOSFAR Wasp Classes: Utility, Hauler & Launch Choices

Compare ATMOSFAR Wasp roles, choose a craft for your next trip and check why the Scout belongs to a later Early Access update.

Independent Editorial Verification Based on official store and developer material. Exact controls, numeric mechanics and unlock sequences require evidence from a named build; source checks are not playtests.

Which Wasp should you choose?

Choose by the job you need to do, then check what your save has unlocked. The developer’s October 27 launch overview distinguishes these roles:

ClassAnnounced rolePlanning question
UtilityFlexible short expeditions with a deployable campDo you need camp facilities on this trip?
HaulerSalvage transport using a magnet and item slotsAre you returning with bulky salvage?
StrikerAgile craft with projectile weaponsDoes the task require this craft’s combat equipment?
ScoutFast reconnaissance craft, planned for The Rime updateAre you reading about future content?

The Steam Early Access description lists three Wasps at launch. The Scout is planned for a later update; its appearance in older promotional material does not establish day-one availability.

Before changing craft

  1. Read the active objective and check whether the required craft or module is actually available.
  2. Check that craft’s controls and visible equipment; do not transfer assumptions from another Wasp.
  3. Decide where you will land, work and return before taking cargo away from your base.
  4. If you cannot find an advertised feature, compare its announcement date with the update installed in your game.

These are preparation steps, not verified unlock instructions. No exact speed, cargo capacity or fuel efficiency is supplied without build evidence.
