First Expedition Checklist
Pick up where you left off. Your progress stays saved on this device.
Your previous checklist record is preserved
The revised checklist has different tasks and its own progress. Your previous record is kept separately.
An expedition preparation order based on developer blogs. Follow your current build for objectives, controls and recipes.
1. Prepare yourself and your tools
2. Set up your field support
3. Prepare your Utility Wasp
Use this checklist to prepare for an expedition, rather than as a timed prologue walkthrough. Prepare yourself, establish field support, then check your Wasp. Mark, save and share tasks in the interactive checklist above.
Eight departure checks
1. Prepare yourself and your tools
- Check your suit and life support:Check the current HUD and in-game tutorial before leaving safety. Follow the build’s prompts for life support and equipment.
- Charge your backpack battery:Tools use electricity. The developer describes charging from sunlight, bioluminescent plants and suitable power connections.
- Prepare an Extractor and Welder:Use the Extractor for scrap recovery and the Welder for repairs. Check required materials before heading out.
2. Set up your field support
- Practice a short jetpack trip:Start close to a safe landing area. The jetpack is intended for short flights; leave room to return.
- Connect your Camp Hub:The Utility Wasp supports a portable camp. Use the Camp Hub to distribute power and check connected equipment demand.
3. Prepare your Utility Wasp
- Inspect and repair your Wasp:Check damage and repair with a Welder and the materials shown in game. Plan a nearby destination first.
- Prepare liquid hydrogen fuel:Hydrogen crystals are refined into liquid hydrogen. Check refinery power, fuel reserves and your return route.
- Check your return and resupply plan:Before takeoff, check fuel, tool charge and repair supplies. Keep your camp or established airbase within your expedition plan.
Your previous progress
The revised checklist has its own save. Previous completion remains preserved and its count is shown; different tasks are not migrated by their old position. Reset affects only revised progress. Importing a current share link adds completion without clearing your existing tasks.
